Consultation Notes

  3. The determined policy for school year 2019-2020 will be published on 28/2/2018.

 Changes to the Admissions Policy

  1. Added to Criteria 1 - Children adopted from overseas are included as looked after if they have been in the care of, or accommodated by a local authority in England or Wales, after they came into this country and before they were placed for adoption.
  2. Criteria 2 - A criterion for admissions of siblings of Catholic children on the school role at the date of admission has been added.
  3. The order or priorities for each category has been amended as follows for evidence of commitment to the Catholic Faith:

                      i.            Mass attendance on Sundays from changed from a period of 3 to 2 years.

                     ii.            Applications will be ranked in the order below:

  1. Regular weekly attendance for 2 years or more.
  2. Occasional attendance of 1 or 2 times a month for 2 years or more.
  3. Irregular attendance of once a month or less.
  4. Priority iii - Proximity to the school of the applicant's home address will be measured in a straight line from the school entrance using a geographical computerised information system.

 Changes to the SIF (Supplementary Information Form) and Procedure

This form must be completed by parents/carers with the evidence of worship endorsed by a Priest, Minister or Faith Leader at the church(es) where the family normally worship.  Parents/Carers must submit the completed form, with the reference, baptismal certificate and proof of address to the school office at the same time. 

 

Admission for Reception September 2018

 If your child was born between 1 September 2013 and 31 August 2014, your child is due to start primary school in September 2018. The Local Authority Admissions process opened on 1st September, the closing date for applications is 15th January 2018. To apply for admission to St Anthony’s you need to complete a supplementary form which you can download below in addition to completing the Local Authority electronic admissions process, eAdmissions.

 

Nursery Admissions

The Nursery has a morning session from 8.45 to 11.45, funded by the Local Authority, for 30 children. There is the option for Nursery children to attend a full day, from 8.45 to 15.30, which requires the payment of a top-up fee for the additional hours. We provide the 30 hours Childcare (extended entitlement) for Nursery children. Nursery children attending the full day require a packed lunch from home. The deadline for applications to Nursery is 15th January for a September start. Please use the Supplementary form below to apply.

 

In Year Admissions

If you would like your child to move schools during the academic year, please complete an In Year Supplementary form available below and submit it to the school office. In addition to the supplementary form, to transfer between schools in Southwark, you will need to complete an in year transfer form from Southwark, Southwark In year application form, and submit it to the school office.
